Cowboy Style

There are many things that make a cowboy. Those of you who grew up in regions that have cows and, hence, cowboys, know their type and their style. They are a different breed of men.  They are used to working long hours doing backbreaking work. Building fences, bailing hay, herding cows, and everything else needed to keep a ranch or farm working. I did it for years!  I never worked so hard in my life, but, at the same time, felt good about it. Up before dawn, and work until you can't see at night. It's not an easy life. but one many guys choose to live.
For those of you who do not know much about cowboys or their "type", there are a few things you should know. As a whole, they are gentlemen.  The kind that treat ladies with respect, still opens doors for them, holds their hand to hepp them when needed (like walking down stairs with high heels and a dress), and generally treating them like they should be treated.  They don't call their wives or girlfriends bad words.  They don't embarrass them in public (which is an embarrassment to yourself, as well), They don't belittle or demean them.  Mostly they treat them like queens. At the same time, they are rough, jealous, and ready to fight for what is theirs at the drop of a hat. If you're making moves on another cowboys' girl, then you should already be prepared to get hit. And they don't like fake front people. Actually hate them, and will not give them the time of day. It doesn't matter if you're a cowboy or not, they will be ok with you if you are straight forward and honest. If a cowboy is your friend, then you know you have a good friend who will give you the shirt off his back if needed. Literally, too. Almost all my friends back home are this type. And compared to what I've seen in cities and towns in the U.S., as well as other countries; I would rather be around this "type" than anyone else in the world.
