The Right Attitude!

After some of the things some of us have been thru, having a positive attitude is no small feat. We have seen some of the worst people do some of the worst things. We have witnessed stuff that no one should have to see. We have done things that no one should have to do. It's obvious that we came back different that when we left. Especially mentally. I can't sit here and preach about how everything is ok, and it's all going to be all right. It's not. We are changed forever. In my opinion only, not yours maybe, we have a few choices left to us.  Keep letting it drag us down, along with our friends and family. Or try every freaking day to see some good stuff in the world.  My release is a sense of humor. I find humor in just about everything.  Not that I'm crazy or senile.  I just think people are naturally fun to watch, and do some of the silliest things.  Don't misunderstand.  I don't make fun of people, but I get a big kick out of people who are confident enough to laugh at themselves.  When they do something dumb, instead of trying to act tough so people won't laugh at them, or lying about it, or whatever; they just own it!  That's my kind of people. Yep, I did that! You can tell alot by a person from just watching for these small things. It shows confidence and character. Some of the best times I've ever had was sitting around a bonfire, cooking bar-be-que, drinking beer, and telling lies. Some people are natural story tellers (liars), and can tell a great story  You end up believing half of it, even if you already know it's all crap. When you have had just the right amount to drink, then the real person starts to come out.  Sometimes to the point of telling some of your own dumbest moments.  It's just funny as hell! And the more you try to outdo your buddies, the funnier it gets. Sometimes you end up laughing so hard you throw up. Oh, sorry, a bit too graphic. But you never forget those times, or the people you were with. And it makes you realize that even though you've done some really dumb things, everybody else is right there with you. Having those kinds of friends around you is what one of your goals should be!
