What has Happened

Just to let you know, since I first started this website, less than a month ago, I have been able to help seven farmers plant their fields. With your continued assistance, I will be able to help many more. Seven does not seem like a lot, does it? But the number of children this involves is twenty four. That's a lot of kids that are going to eat for months, so it is very well worth it. There are currently about sixteen more farmers that could use our help, and I know many more will be coming. I do not make this real easy for them, because I do not wish to get an armful of freeloaders, or people who will try to take advantage of the situation. I personally talk with them, weigh the needs and their attitude, then decide if they deserve help. It may seem a bit mean, but it's not meant to be. I have to try to help the ones who are very serious, and will continue on after a bit of help. I do not have the time or patience for the ones who will be asking for a handout every planting season, wasting what they have been given. This is very rare tho, as most of them are dead serious, and professional rice farmers. Of course I look at the plight of the children. If they are badly in need, but their father turns out to be a bum, then I have local "volunteers" who make sure he does what he is supposed to do. It's called peer pressure.
Again, I ask for a bit of help. Many of you donate to other organizations, or have in the past. Many of them are designed with one purpose; to help the children. That is my purpose, too.
I am averaging about 600 hits a day on my website, and if I could get help from just 30 or 40 of them, then the project could help many more farmers quickly. It doesn't seem that hard of a decision to me. But obviously, it's up to you. Some days I get a decent amount; other days I get zero. I am telling you all this because I told you in the beginning that I'm straight forward, and not going to mislead you. So I am giving you the facts. But, as I also said, even if I get nothing, I will try to continue as long as I can (I have to keep my own family first, of course).
Please hit that "donate" button, and let me know that there are other people around that care just as much as I do about feeding children. And thank for taking the time to read through this!

It's a cool blue sky above!
